Researchers are taking a multi-pronged approach to beef on dairy crosses. In a study of producers, Iowa State University Extension Beef Specialist Denise Schwab found there are three components: sharing what producers are doing, a research database of all beef on dairy crosses, and a research study tracking baby calves from birth to market.
