At Alabama Livestock Auctions, for the week ended May 10, 2024, receipts at 16 markets totaled an estimated 9,403 head compared to 9,421 last week and 10,814 last year. Compared to last week: Slaughter cows sold steady to 2.00 higher and slaughter bulls sold 3.00 to 5.00 higher. All feeder classes sold 1.00 to 5.00 lower. Trade active with good demand on feeder cattle. Replacement cows sold steady. Year-to-date receipts totaled 181,598 compared to 212,167 last year.
