Georgia Agriculture Commodity Commissions were established to help producers by representing and supporting a specific commodity. Assessments collected through a farmer approved marketing order can be used for research, education and marking of the commodity.

Appointments for the commission will be made by the Commodity Commission Ex Officio Committee in July. Those appointed will serve for three years, though they can be reappointed for additional terms. Members will attend regular meetings and make decisions on behalf of the producers.
