The Florida Cattlemen’s Association (FCA) is preparing for their annual “Boots on the Hill” event coming up next week in Tallahassee. The primary focus of this meeting is for cattlemen to meet personally with every State Senator and Representative or their staff to discuss issues during the Legislative Session.
The 2023 Florida Legislative Session kicks off today, March 7th and FCA Director of Governmental Affairs, Sam Ard, says they are always there the 2nd week of the session.
The majority of the day Wednesday, March 15th will be spent by FCA members at the Capitol visiting the elected officials’ offices. And as Ard mentioned, that evening they will once again have a joint effort with the United Dairy Farmers of Florida to host a joint Legislator’s Reception at the Southern Group Building.
Then on Thursday, March 16th, FCA will hold their Quarterly Board Meeting in Tallahassee. It starts that morning with the FCA Past Presidents/Executive Board Breakfast. At8:30am, the Florida Cattlewomen’s Board of Directors will meet and at 9:00, the FCA Board of Directors Meeting will take place.
