The 2023 Cattle Industry Convention is taking place this week in New Orleans, Louisiana. One group meeting during the annual event is the Cattlemen‘s Beef Board (CBB), who of course is responsible for overseeing the collection of the Beef Checkoff and funding their various programs. They will be looking at the various programs conducted last year, and preview some of those planned for this year.
U.S. beef exports saw another great year in 2022, but why have those exports been so good? That’s a question AgNet Media recently asked CBB Vice-Chair, Jimmy Taylor from Oklahoma.
And Taylor explains how they use dollars from big cow states in those states that have fewer cows.
And there’s a big event coming up in a little over two weeks in Florida that the beef industry is looking forward to.
