Interested attendees are reminded that the Georgia Cotton Commission’s (GCC) annual meeting is less than a week away. The event is set for Wednesday, Jan. 26 at the University of Georgia (UGA) Tifton Campus Conference Center in Tifton, Georgia.
Name badge pickup and late registration will start at 7:30 a.m.
The program will feature presentations and discussion from industry leaders like Kent Fountain, chairman of the National Cotton Council of America; Jimmy Webb, chairman of the Cotton Board; and Kim Kitchings, senior vice president of consumer marketing for Cotton Incorporated.
The annual meeting, which was held virtually in 2021 due to COVID-19, is held in conjunction with the UGA Cotton Production Workshop. UGA Cotton Team members will discuss various crop-related topics like soil fertility, irrigation, precision agriculture, entomology, plant pathology and integrated pest management.
There is no charge to attend the full-day event. But pre-registration is requested to help with meal plans. Register online at www.ugatiftonconference.caes.uga.edu or call (229) 386-3416.
