It was announced a few weeks ago that $26 Million of CARES Act Funds were being made available to assist Alabama Agriculture impacted by COVID-19. The Alabama Agricultural Stabilization Program (AASP), with funds being directed to seven different programs, was made possible by the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act.
According to Alabama Cattlemen’s Association (ACA) Executive Director, Erin Beasley, signup for the Cattle Direct Payment Program is now underway.
