At Alabama Livestock Auctions receipts at 21 markets totaled an estimated 10,000 head compared to 12,698 last week and 12,242 year ago. Compared to one week ago: Slaughter cows and bulls sold 2.00 to 4.00 higher. All feeder classes sold 1.00 to 4.00 higher. Trade active with good demand.

Compared to last week: Slaughter cows and bulls steady to firm.  Feeder classes 1.00 to 3.00 higher on cattle less than 400 lbs, over 400 lbs steady. Replacement cows steady to firm. Year to date receipts totaled 154,877 compared to 171,793 a year ago.
