(SLE) — Due to the City of Montgomery’s closing of all its venues, including Garrett Coliseum, the Southeastern Livestock Exposition (SLE) Rodeo announced the postponement of its 63rd annual Rodeo and Livestock Week in response to the growing concerns of the coronavirus. Livestock Week was scheduled to take place March 14-22 at Garrett Coliseum in Montgomery, Alabama.
SLE leaders will work with the City and Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association (PRCA) personnel to reschedule the event at a later date in 2020.
All events accompanying SLE Livestock Week have also been postponed including— but not limited to— the kickoff parade, the Western Festival, NBHA Barrel Race, SLE Team Roping and the Junior Beef Expo.
“The health and well-being of our rodeo fans is our top priority,” said SLE President Jimmy Holliman. “We look forward to bringing a fun-filled rodeo week in the near future.”
Previously purchased tickets can be used at the event once new dates are announced. Ticket refunds can be requested through the source of purchase.
