USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) has unveiled a new video series called “Conservation at Work.” It highlights common conservation practices which are basically real stories and real successes. Through farmers.gov, you can learn about the benefits of conservation practices directly from the farmers, ranchers and forestland owners applying them.
There are a variety of featured videos covering topics like high tunnels, brush management, cover crops, forest stand improvement, grassed waterways, micro-irrigation, no-till, nutrient management, sprinkler systems, water and sediment control basins, wetland restoration and more. The new 90-second video series features a variety of information concerning conservation practices. You can view these videos and learn more on the Alabama NRCS Website. And while on their site, you can also learn more about the various programs available through the 2018 Farm Bill.
