When the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA) released their official Policy Priorities for 2019 earlier this year, it included a mix of familiar and new issues for the industry. But one of those is Dietary Guidelines, something the federal government updates every five years. According to NCBA Senior Vice President of Government Affairs, Colin Woodall, as that process ramps up in 2019 they will be working to promote accurate information about the nutritional advantages of beef as part of a balanced diet.
Last month, the appointment of the 2020 Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee was announced.
