The 2018-19 Florida Bull Test Sale was held last month at the University of Florida, North Florida Research and Education Center (NFREC) in Marianna. And according to Beef Nutrition Specialist Nicolas DiLorenzo, they had an excellent turnout and a very dynamic sale of 59 bulls from 4 different breeds. And despite the impact of Hurricane Michael on NFREC facilities and the community, the bulls’ performance and health was unaffected.
This year’s sale grossed $153,650 with an average of $2,604.24 per lot. Nominations for the 2019-20 bull test will be accepted starting on May 1, 2019. More information on this year’s sale and to a complete set of rules to enroll bulls in the Florida Bull Test can be found on the NFREC website.
