Many people may not realize that milk-fed veal calves are raised significantly different today. Back in 
2007, the American Veal Association (AVA) set a goal to completely move to group housing over a ten-year period and since then, AVA members have researched the best facilities to provide optimal care and the financial resources to make it happen by the end of 2017. AgWired’s Jamie Johansen visited Strauss Veal Feeds and Midwest Veal, and talked with staff veterinarian Dr. Marissa Hake, about the life of a veal calf. To hear that interview click here.
