When USDA released its December cotton production Tuesday, it showed all cotton was up less than 1 percent from November and up 25 percent from last year. And while cotton production in Georgia is up 6 percent from last year, this month’s forecast was down 4 percent from last month. Georgia Cotton Commission Executive Director, Richey Seaton, says several things factored into reducing the state’s yield potential.
