Now, if I said Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy, you probably wouldn’t know what I was talking about. So, I will just say Mad Cow Disease. Now, I know, but a very few people were aware how it his American agriculture right in the stomach. One case sent the cattle world and the American beef export market righty into kayos. Practically the whole world slammed the door shut on American Beef. No less than 5 American trade and commerce organizations were pressed into quick service to try to avoid total calamity. Quick negotiations were started with China, Japan, and a dozen other countries. Fortunately, there was more scare than danger. So, after the initial disruption, things slowly returned to normal. But, it did cost millions, and millions, of dollars.
