Everett Griner talks about cost to control feral hogs still rising in today’s Agri View.
Download Rising Control Cost
Every industry that operates to serve the public has to deal with problems that cost them a lot of money. But none of them face the situation that farmers do. Production problems tend to stay solved. But that isn’t the way it is if you are a farmer. The feral hog situation is a good example. It hasn’t been solved in the first place. It cost the farmers more and more every year. The latest guess is about a billion and a half dollars a year. But those trying to get a handle on the problem say it will keep going up until a solution is found. Now if that were the case in the home appliance industry, how much to you suppose a washing machine would cost you when your present one wears out? Control is one thing. Eradication is the only thing that will stop those billions from becoming trillions. What do you think that possibility is?
That’s Agri View for today. I’m Everett Griner.
