Cattle Feedlot Placement Numbers Increase

Beef CattleWhen USDA released their December Cattle on Feed Report, it showed feedlot inventories were down slightly from year ago levels. While November feedlot placements and marketing’s were higher than a year ago, feedlot inventories were down one percent. The report shows that on December 1st, 10.7 million head were in feedlots, while placements in November totaled 1.84 million head, 15 percent above 2015.
