Today is National Peanut Day – observed annually on September 13th. It’s the perfect day to incorporate peanuts into your diet whether from a handful of nuts or in a peanut butter sandwich. Peanuts are such a popular snack, ingredient and Super-food. In honor of this nutty holiday here are a few fun facts for you to chew on.
It takes about 540 peanuts to make a 12-ounce jar of peanut butter.
The average peanut farm is 100 acres.
Peanuts are the #1 snack nut consumed in the U.S.
