There are many farm groups who continue to push for a vote on the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), despite the continued negative headlines on the huge trade deal’s chances to be considered in a lame-duck Congress. While President Obama did announce last week that he will push for its passage this year, House Speaker Paul Ryan said he sees no point in bringing up TPP since it lacks the votes to pass.
