Last week, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced the enrollment of more than 800,000 acres in the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) through the program’s 49th sign up period. Farm Service Agency Administrator Val Dolcini explains some of the reasons he believes this was the most competitive Conservation Reserve Program acreage enrollment period in the program’s thirty year history.
