The House of Representatives recently passed the Surface Transportation Reauthorization and Reform Act of 2015, a bill that would extend federal highway funding for the next six years. But an amendment to that bill by Florida Representative Tom Rooney, which would have addressed the outdated truck weight laws, was not included.
