Urging Senate to Repeal COOL

Back in early June, the U.S. House passed H.R. 2393, the Country of Origin Labeling Amendments Act which effectively repeals mandatory country of origin labeling requirements for beef, pork, and chicken. And while the Senate has yet to act on COOL, both Mexican and Canadian officials did send separate letters to the Chairman and ranking member of the Senate Ag Committee stating that a full repeal is the only option.
