Last week we told you the Georgia Department of Agriculture had reported a known case of the porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDv) after two samples from pigs at the recent Georgia Junior National Livestock Show tested positive. Per the latest report, the number of positive cases in the state is now up to seven. Georgia State Veterinarian Dr. Robert Cobb asks producers to observe their animals very carefully.
