The National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (and the Public Lands Council) filed comments this week calling for the immediate withdrawal of the Environmental Protection Agency and the Army Corps of Engineers’ proposed “waters of the United States” rule. The proposed rule vastly expands the agencies’ jurisdiction and attempts to regulate all land uses. NCBA Environmental Counsel, Ashley McDonald, says there are so many issues with this rule, that they are asking the agencies to withdraw it and start over.
