The deadline to get one of those special hay hauler permits through the Alabama Department of Agriculture & Industries and the Alabama Department of Transportation is this Thursday September 1st.
To be added to the ALDOT database as a new hauler, please complete a New Hauler Letter Form available on ALDOT’s website at www.dot.state.al.us. Select “Emergency Drought Relief for Texas-Hay Transport” under “Featured Information.”

Truck/trailer tag numbers, Route information (US and State routes only, unavailable for interstate travel) and City and state of origin and destination.
