During a webinar held this morning for Alabama poultry and other farmers impacted by recent tornadoes, Johnny Adams with the Alabama Poultry and Egg Association said a disaster relief fund for their producers who suffered from the storms has been started.

The Alabama Poultry Growers 2011 Tornado Relief Fund is designed to help tornado victims to get back on their feet until more permanent solutions are made available. These funds will be granted to victims to buy clothes, food, toiletries and to provide transportation, etc. Contributions to the Fund are tax deductible and 100 percent of all contributions will go to Alabama poultry grower victims. Checks should be made out to Alabama Poultry Foundation and designated for the Tornado Relief Fund.
