The recent flooding has not yet directly affected our farmers, but Louisiana Commissioner of Agriculture and Forestry, Dr. Mike Strain, explains that if those rising flood waters on the Mississippi River shut down agricultural commerce it would be extremely costly for ag sector and the entire nation.
