The Senate Agriculture Committee will be discussing shifting responsibilities for school nutrition programs from the Department of Education to the Department of Agriculture, a proposal Florida Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam is pushing for, but one that has received a lukewarm response from the state’s Board of Education.
