For years the Agriculture Institute of Florida has offered statewide candidates the opportunity to address agriculture leaders and producers at its Candidate’s “Forum”. Farm Credit of Florida is again the event’s key sponsor. Today both Gubenatorial Candidates, both Ag Commissioner candidates, and one of the candidates running for Attorney General are set to address a large crowd of state agriculture leaders and producers. Each are offered a few moments for comments and the opportunity to field some questions. Gubenatorial Candidate Alex Sink, first at the podium, arrived early and was joined among the crowd with her running mate Rod Smith, known in ag circles as a former state Senator and popular chairman for the Senate Ag Committee. Gubenatorial Candidate Rick Scott is scheduled to appear at the luncheon later in the program.
