Growers who soon receive their August issue of Citrus Industry Magazine will notice it is much thicker than usual. The August issue is by far the largest issue published since Southeast AgNet bought the 85-year-old magazine business in mid-2005. Southeast AgNet’s Ernie Neff, editor of the magazine, has details in this report.
A big reason is this year’s Citrus Expo. The magazine always includes the official program for Citrus Expo each year and with the large turnout of exhibitors and sponsors, and a huge turnout of growers expected this year weather permitting, this month’s issue is crammed full. Citrus Industry Magazine continues to be the leading industry publication for Florida citrus growers, it is the ONLY citrus-only magazine available in fact. Meanwhile, Southeast AgNet continues to update its publishing processes including present efforts ongoing to bring the subscribers and mailing lists up to date with so many changes ongoing in the industry.
