TAVARES — The Lake County Cooperative Extension is hosting a Natural Horsemanship Program on Saturday, April 25, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The program will be conducted by Eric Anderson and Dane Hovey of Extreme Horseman www.xtremehorseman.com and will include a challenging day of obstacles for horses and riders that will build trust between them. Participants will learn how to make their horses steadier, as well as:

• How to build a horse’s confidence and reward its bravery; and
• How to keep a horse under control when it is spooked.
The program is limited to the first 20 participants to register. Registrations are due by Thursday, April 23. The cost of the program is $25 for 4-H members and $60 for others. Helmets are recommended for participants. To register and for directions to program location, call Maggie Jarrell at the Lake County Extension Office at (352) 343-4101.
