The recent move by the U S Labor Department to suspend the rules put in place in January, making the H2A labor program more efficient and workable for farmers, has struck a raw nerve in labor intensive areas of farm country. With only ten days open for public comment, farmers and the folks who represent them are scrambling to provide input and look into other possibilities to stop the proposed suspension.
