The U.S. Department of Agriculture will provide up to $145 million to eligible landowners nationwide through the floodplain easement component of its Emergency Watershed Protection Program. Steve Musser, Assistant State Conservationist with Alabama NRCS encourages farmers who have had land flood for two out of the last ten years to sign up by the deadline of March 27.
