The first round for additional funding for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program is estimated at 145 million dollars set to be released April first. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack says that this will equate to an 80 dollar increase per month for families in need but will also assist with an economic boost for rural areas.
