This week’s Commissioner’s Spotlight from Florida Agriculture Commissioner Charles Bronson is about the construction of a cellulosic ethanol plant in Highlands County that will begin later this year. This facility will be the first in Florida to use next-generation technology to convert renewable grasses to fuel, rather than using food crops.
More information about the project can be found on the web by clicking on Cellulosic Ethanol Plant.
