Ed Torres, Public Works Director for the City of Casselberry, has had to deal with numerous hurricanes and tropical storms during his tenure. Most recently Tropical Storm Fay dumped around 16 inches of rain in a two day period, flooded the entire area and eroding all the streams creating a precarious situation for the residents adjacent.
Torres turned to NRCS and within six months had a completed project that was beautiful and ecologically sound.
