Landowners have now enrolled more than 2 million acres in U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Wetlands Reserve Program, a significant contribution toward increasing the Nation’s wetlands, according to Natural Resources Conservation Service Chief Arlen Lancaster.
New WRP enrollments in nine states, including Florida and Alabama, contributed to this conservation milestone.
