Among the issues Florida farmers and ranchers are concerned about this year are Greenbelt Tax status protection, and for citrus growers, money to do critical research needed on greening and canker diseases. In this report, Florida Farm Bureau’s Assistant Director of Ag Policy Adam Basford comments on citrus research funding issues and about how farmers who can’t come to Tallahassee can still play an important role in the Legislative process.
