Dr. Jack Payne with the University of Florida has an update concerning the issue some Florida cattle ranchers are having with panthers killing cattle. UF/IFAS was involved in a study of panther predation at two Southwest Florida ranches, and found that panthers rely on the mixed landscape of ranches for their habitat. So one idea involves ranchers maintaining key panther habitat.
