The University of Florida held a Beef/Forage Day today at the North Florida Research and Education Center just North of Marianna. Farmers from across the area were on hand to hear some of the latest information concerning beef production and forage. I talked with Doug Mayo, director of the Jackson County Extension office, about the event.

Also a special event took place at the end of the day as a ribbon cutting ceremony was held at the brand new dormitory, as I chatted with Cliff Lamb, assistant director and professor at NFREC, about the new addition.
