Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act Passes Despite Budget Concerns

The Senate Agriculture Committee has unanimously approved the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. However, there was some discussion on the budget offsets to pay for the bill as Georgia’s Saxby Chambliss proposed an amendment to take savings from the Conservation Stewardship Program instead of the popular Environmental Quality Incentives Program.
