The Georgia Cotton Commission (GCC) Board of Directors recently met to approve their research budget for the upcoming fiscal year. GCC Executive Director, Richey Seaton, says the budget includes around $700,000 for 20 projects. For more information, contact the GCC office in Perry.
Each year, the Georgia Cotton Commission (GCC) holds its annual meeting in conjunction with the University of Georgia Cotton Production Workshop. The combined event takes place on Jan. 29 in Tifton. Back in March at the Georgia State Capitol, it was announced that a new line of cotton t-shirts grown and sewn locally in Georgia, were available. Georgia Cotton Commission’s Richey Seaton says they are in partnership in this effort with Georgia Grown, the Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency and Georgia’s cotton farmers.
