Cotton Acreage Down 17 Percent
The National Agriculture Statistics Service released their annual acreage report today which shows that the amount of both corn and soybean acres planted this year are up 1 percent from 2012, but cotton acreage is down 17 percent while peanut acreage is down 33 percent compared to last year.
