Jim Ewing, southern regional director for USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS), says the service has started its planting intentions survey to see what farmers plan to plant this spring. The March Agricultural Survey will include approximately 84,000 of the nation’s farmers to determine their plans for the upcoming growing season.
