2007 Ag Census Shows Increase in Lifestyle Farms
The National Agricultural Statistics Service’s 2007 Census of Agriculture revealed that the most common type of farm is lifestyle or retirement farms. NASS defines those farms as having less than 250 thousand in sales with the operator either being retired or with a primary occupation outside of farming.
