USDA Designates 11 Counties in Florida as Primary Natural Disaster Areas
WASHINGTON, April 15, 2010 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture has designated 11 counties in Florida as primary natural disaster areas due to losses caused by excessive rainfall that occurred from Nov. 11, through Dec. 23, 2009. Download Audio

AL NRCS Announces Funding for AWEP
Auburn, Alabama, April 8, 2010 – Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) State Conservationist Dr. William Puckett today announced that $1.1 million in financial assistance is available to producers for the Agricultural Water Enhancement Program (AWEP). NRCS will begin accepting applications for AWEP on April 12, 2010. The signup period ends on April 30, 2010.
