EPA Rejects Review of Ruling
Not being convinced that a review would reverse last January’s ruling requiring clean water act permits for pesticide applications in or near water, EPA’s Acting Assistant Administrator of Water Mike Shapiro, has said the agency has rejected a full circuit review and instead asked for a two years implementation process.

Georgia Legislature Wraps Up
The Georgia Legislature wrapped up last week with several bills passing at the eleventh hour including Senate Bill 128, House Bill 318 and House Bill 529 which Gary Black, president of the Georgia Agribusiness Council, says is imperative to ensure the future of the ag industry in Georgia.
