Citrus Grower Sees “Hope on the Horizon” in Tree Survey

Although Florida’s citrus acreage declined two percent in the last year to its modern low of 531,493 acres, Vero Beach grower and packer George Hamner Jr. says he sees “hope on the horizon.” Hamner also reacts to a report that abandoned grove acreage held steady in the past year.
