Final Rule for Non-Ambulatory Cattle
U.S. Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack recently announced the final rule to amend the federal meat inspection regulations to require a complete ban on the slaughter of all non-ambulatory disabled cattle. In an interview with Southeast AgNet, Secretary Vilsack said this includes animals that become non-ambulatory disabled after passing initial inspection.
