The 2023 Alabama Legislative Session officially kicks off today, March 7 in Montgomery. Alabama Cattlemen’s Association (ACA) Executive Vice President, Erin Beasley, says there will be a lot of new faces in this year’s Legislature. ACEP Funding Announced in Alabama

USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Alabama has announced the 2023 Inflation Reduction Act funding through the Agricultural Conservation Easements Program (ACEP). This includes both the Agricultural Land (ALE) and Wetland Reserve (WRE) easement sign-up. Alabama NRCS Announces Funding for Climate Smart Agriculture

The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Alabama encourages agricultural producers and forest landowners in the state to participate in voluntary conservation programs and adopt climate-smart practices. The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) provided additional funding over five years for climate smart agriculture through several of the conservation programs that NRCS implements.
